Play Areas

Ponteland Town Council is responsible for the management and maintenance of three play areas in the town. These are located on Callerton Lane, at Twizell Place and Guardians Court. A new facility at Callerton Lane will be opened in the coming weeks and the temporary play area will be removed. The play areas are checked 7 days a week by our contractors and any issues are reported or dealt with. Our insurance company also carry out detailed inspections three times a year and submit reports to the Town Council on any problem areas.

Callerton Lane

This is a temporary play area which will soon be replaced by a new facility on the site of the old fire station on Callerton Lane.

Twizell Place

This facility has a range of equipment including swings, Rockers, See-Saw, Slides and climbing frames. For ball games there are Football Goal Posts provided.

Guardians Court

Is a very small play area with only two rockers items for very young children. It is located in the Guardians Court complex.
