Alan Hall

Alan became a Councillor with Ponteland Town Council in May 2017, representing the South Ward. Alan wants to continue to work for the good of the community in Ponteland and believes that one of the ways he can do this is through his work as a Councillor. He was elected to the role of Deputy Mayor in May 2023.

Alan Hall has lived in Ponteland for 26 years. He was a Regional Director with a national firm before taking early retirement 12 years ago. He is a family man with 5 children and 4 grandchildren. In seeking to enjoy his pensioner years, he makes time for hobbies which include golf, walking and Rotary.

It is Alan’s view that, with its unique character, Ponteland is one of the best places to live in the whole of North East. His ambitions for the village include the new relief road and scalable, manageable development. Alan also thinks things would be improved in the area by addressing litter, potholes and parking facilities.
