MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

24th July 2018

  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

  • 6 Willow Way, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9RJ, Proposal: Demolition of existing flat roof extension and single storey rear extension, alterations to existing house including forming new window/door openings to front elevations.

 

The Committee deferred this application to the next meeting.

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 3 applications considered.

 

  1. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

 

2.1       DECISION:  18/01474/FUL, 20 The Rise, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9LH. Proposed rear extension to replace existing conservatory: proposed conversion of roof space to create additional 2 bedrooms to include 2 x dormer windows: proposed new dwarf wall/pillars and entrance gates to the front elevation.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 10th July 2018. The Committee had made an objection about this proposal which was later removed as the applicant amended the proposal to suit the needs of the Council.

 

2.2       DECISION:  18/01557/FUL, 121 Darras Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20. Proposed rear first floor extension above existing ground floor footprint to master bedroom.  

Permission granted under delegated powers on 10th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.3       DECISION:  18/01349/ADE, 11 West Road, Ponteland, NE20 9SU. Proposed advertisement consent for a non-illuminated projecting sign (as amended 12/6/18)

Permission granted under delegated powers on 11th July 2018. The Committee had made an objection about this application. The Planning Committee are unable to make a decision on this application as more information is required for example the total projection, dimensions, height and position of the proposed advert.

They also request an extension to the expiry date so this proposal can be reviewed at the next Planning Meeting (10th July 2018)

Revised specifications were sent via NCC Planning department and this objection was withdrawn.

 

2.4       DECISION:  18/01665/FUL, 33 Callerton Court, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9EN. Proposed additional single storey glass room to front elevation of property.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 11th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.5       DECISION:  18/01321/VARYCO, Ponteland Library, Thornhill Road, Ponteland, NE20 9PZ. Proposed Variation of condition 19(landscape planting plan) pursuant to planning permission 16/04427/FUL to allow the detailed landscape planting plan to be implemented following the completion of construction works.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 11th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.6       DECISION:  18/01795/FUL, 45 Runnymede Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9HG. Proposed single storey extension to rear and alterations to front porch.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 12th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.7       DECISION:  18/01844/FUL, 25 Edge Hill, Ponteland, NE20 9RW. Proposed construction of two storey extension to front, rear and side elevations including first floor balcony.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 16th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.8       DECISION:  18/01794/FUL, 45 Darras Road, Ponteland, NE20 9PD. Proposed single storey rear extension, works to second floor and roof and re building single storey garage.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 18th July 2018. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.9       DECISION:  18/01768/FUL, 116 Edge Hill, Ponteland, NE20 9JQ. Proposed front canopy, ground floor extensions and formation of edition habitable accommodation within the roof space (existing ridge height retained) including front dormers.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 18th July 2018. The Committee had made a comment about this application.

 

2.10     DECISION:  18/01457/FUL, Land South East of 111 Runnymede Road, Ponteland, NE20. Proposed outline application for 1 no new residential dwelling, (all matters reserved excluding access)

Permission granted under delegated powers on 19th July 2018. The Committee had made an objection about this application.

 

2.11     DECISION:  1/01601/ADE, 9 Bell Villas, Ponteland, NE20 9BD. Proposed advertisement consent for 1 set of mild steel letters reading “you only live once” with concealed LED lights.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 19th July 2018. The committee has made an objection about this application that was later withdrawn.
