  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

The Committee made no comments about all the applications considered.

 

  1. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

 

2.1       DECISION:  20/00691/FUL, 2 West Thorn Farm, West Thorn, Kirley, Ponteland, NE20 0AG. Proposed two storey extension to West facing elevation comprising garage and ground floor and master bedroom above and provision of 3no dormers (as amended 4/5/2020).

Permission granted under delegated powers on 23rd June 2020. The Committee had made an objection about this application.

Objection: The Planning Committee believe this proposal would be contrary to the core planning principles within the National Planning Policy Framework Paragraph 145, sections (c) of Proposals affecting the Green Belt. Section (c) permits the extension or alteration of a building provided that it does not result in disproportionate additions over and above the size of the original building. The Committee feel that the plans for this extension and garage would create a much larger building in height and on a much larger footprint. They request that this application be refused.

 

2.2       DECISION:  20/01208/FUL, 16 Queensway, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9RZ. Proposed first floor side extension, to be built over existing garage.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 25th June 2020. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.3       DECISION:  20/01485/FUL, Ponteland Middle School, Callerton Lane, Ponteland, NE20 9EY. Proposed change of use from class D1 and D2 and refurbishment of classroom into changing rooms/social space for community use.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 2nd July 2020. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.4       DECISION:  19/00687/OUT, Land South of Meadow View, The Avenue, Medburn, Ponteland. Proposed outline – construction of two storey houses with some other matters reserved.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 8th July 2020. The Committee had made no comment about this application.
