MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

5th March 2019

 

Present:  Councillor Mrs S Johnson (in the Chair), Mrs K Woodrow, Mrs C Caisley, Mr S Ahmed and Mrs Karen Overbury

 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

1.1       Application No: 19/00524/FUL, Location: 7A Woodside, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9JA

Proposal: Demolition of existing bungalow and construction of two storey dwelling with new garage and access (private).

 

Comment – The Planning Committee note the comments made regarding the plans for a new access road from Ashdale and hope that this matter can be resolved between the County Council and the relevant Management Committee.

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 7 applications considered.

 

  1. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

 

2.1       DECISION:  18/04511/VARYCO, 142 Runnymede Road, Ponteland, NE20 9HN. Proposed variation of condition 1 (approved plans) pursuant to planning permission 18/01432/FUL – to amend scheme to show a bedroom/en-suite in the loft in lieu of one of the mezzanine bed decks.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 28th February 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.2       DECISION:  18/04394/FUL, 13 Willow Way, Ponteland, NE20 9RJ. Proposed single storey rear and side extension.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 28th February 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.3       DECISION:  18/04390/FUL, Park House, Milbourne, NE20 0EB. Proposed two storey rear extension (as amended 21/2/19)

Permission granted under delegated powers on 22nd February 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.4       APPEAL: 18/00504/ADE – Dobbies roundabout to Ponteland Road – advertisement consent for 4 hoarding signs (or 2 if more acceptable, north and south)

This appeal had been discussed at the last meeting when it was agreed that further information on the number of traffic accidents at this location would be sought from the Police. A response had not yet been received.  The Committee asked if this information could be sought from NCC as they wished to submit this supplementary detail to the Planning Inspectorate.  It was noted that the deadline for comments was 5 weeks from the 12th February (19th March).

 

  1. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

3.1       18/03589/FUL Westcotes, Milbourne, NE20 0DG. Proposed erection of free-range egg production unit.

 

The Town Council had been invited to speak at the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting on 5th March 2019 regarding the above application.

 

The Town Council had made an objection about the proposal which has since been withdrawn due to the receipt of all the relevant reports.

 

 

3.2       18/04202/CCD Land West of Ponteland High School, Erection of a new single storey fire station.

 

The Town Council had been invited to speak at the Strategic Planning Committee Meeting on 5th March 2019 regarding the above application.

 

The Town Council had made no comment about the proposal and Councillors Mrs Caisley and Hall agreed to speak in support of the application at the meeting.
