MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING
6th September 2016

1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

1.1 Application No: 16/02839/FELTPO Location: 36 Woodside Darras Hall NE20 9JA
Proposal: Tree preservation order application to fell 6 beech trees (T1-T6), cut back Poplar overhanging no 80’s garage (T7) and fell 2 Cherry trees (T8&T9) Applicant: Mr Joe Martin
Case Officer: Strategic and Urban Dev Reply Date: 8/9/16

COMMENT :- The Committee agreed to refer this application to the relevant Tree Officer at County. Members asked that future TPO applications not be included on the Planning agenda.

1.2 Application No: 16/02944/FUL Location: Land North of Clickemin Farmhouse, Ponteland NE20 9BQ Proposal: Proposed 2 storey detached dwelling Applicant: Mr Sam Newbury
Case Officer: Strategic and Urban Dev Man Team. Reply Date: 23/09/16

DEFERRED: – Members noted that the reply date for this application, was after the next Planning Committee Meeting, on 20/9/16. Due to the complex nature of the application, the Committee asked that the item be deferred until the next meeting; which allowed time for resident comments. The Clerk was asked to seek confirmation from NCC that residents at 4, 5 and 6 Clickemin Cottages had been notified of the application.

The Committee made no comments about the other 3 applications considered.

2. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

2.1 DECISION 16/01273/LBC: The Blackbird North Road Ponteland NE20 9UH – Listed Building Consent: Proposed new and replacement exterior & car park lighting. Previous modern extension to be demolished and replaced with a new slightly enlarged kitchen extension.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 30th August 2016
The Committee had made the following comment about this application – The Committee agrees with the proposal, although it is to be commented that the committee prefer the traditional style lighting as they are in keeping with the surroundings and the importance of the conservation area.

2.2 DECISION 16/02608/PRUTPO: Ponteland Club & Institute, Merton Way, NE20 9PX
– Norway Maple (T2 or T3) to remove. Ash to reduce by 15% (T4 and T6). T5 to be removed.
Permission refused under delegated powers on 31st Aug 2016

2.3 DECISION 16/01912/FUL: Auberne Callerton Lane Ponteland NE20 9EG – Demolition of existing two storey dormer dwelling house and erection of a new two storey dwelling house with associated parking and garage.
Withdrawn at the applicants request on 22 August 2016.
The Committee commented that they were happy to see this development being brought back to life, but asked it be noted the concern for a flood risk assessment.
