A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

The Committee made no comments about the 12 applications considered.

2. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

2.1 DECISION 16/01657/FUL 18 Middle Drive, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9DH –
Demolish existing bungalow and build new house.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 7 July 2016.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.2 DECISION 15/02481/FUL 33 West Road, Ponteland, NE20 9SX –
Construction of a detached garage with 2 bedrooms. shower/WC, lounge diner and kitchen over. Permission granted under delegated powers on 15 July 2016.
The Committee had made a comment that this proposal seemed extremely excessive as a garage. It was felt that the application description was misleading, as this is not really just a garage, but a detached dwelling.

2.3 DECISION 16/01774/FUL 160 Western Way, Darras Hall NE20 9LY –
Proposed extension to single garage to form double garage.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 15 July 2016
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.4 DECISION 16/01577/FUL 68 Edge Hill, Darras Hall, NE20 9RR –
Replacement of conservatory with single storey extension with pitched roof to adjacent flat roof and rendering to front and rear side elevations above windowsill height.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 15 July 2016
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.5 DECISION 16/01192/VARYCO Land West of Meadow Court House, Runnymede road, NE20 9TA
Variation of condition 2 (Approved plans) pursuant to planning permission 15/01474/FUL in order to allow changes for the inclusion of a new private access to Plot 1.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 18 July 2016
The Committee had made a comment that the provision of a separate entrance to the plot is cosmetic and unnecessary. The rural appearance of this area would be undermined and the established wildlife corridor impaired.

2.6 DECISION 16/01777/FUL 70 Eastern Way Ne20 9RE –
Proposed dining room extension, study extension, rear porch and front entrance hall with canopy.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 19 July 2016
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.7 DECISION 16/01895/FUL 104 Darras Road, NE20 9PG
Resubmission: proposed two storey extension to the rear of the existing house to provide a larger kitchen, utility and larger conservatory at a ground floor level and additional bedroom and en-suite facilities at a first floor level.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 19 July 2016
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

3. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

3.1 Disposal of old plans – The Town Clerk had arranged for the confidential and safe disposal of old planning applications to free up storage space in the office. Digital copies of these applications remained on the NCC planning portal website.

3.2 Derelict buildings – A report regarding a number of derelict buildings in Ponteland was circulated. Members agreed the Clerk pass this information to the appropriate Officer at County for action.

3.3 IT Requirements – Hardware required to display plans and maps digitally had been purchased and was within the budget amount agreed.

3.4 Map of Medburn – Members were advised that a Digital OS Map of Medburn was on order with Hedley Design Ltd who was in the process of programming it in. The map will be issued in both paper and pdf format and should be available for use at the next meeting.
