MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING
24 FEBRUARY 2015

1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

1.1 15/00174/FUL: Land West Of South Coldcoats, Coldcotes Moor Farm, Ponteland NE20 0DF – Demolition of existing domestic garage and erection of a three bedroom bungalow.

OBJECTION: Contrary to the NPPF and Castle Morpeth District Local Plan: The proposal would result in a new dwelling in the Green Belt and open countryside which would be inappropriate development; very special circumstances have not been demonstrated.

The Committee made no comments about the other 5 applications considered.

2. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

2.1 DECISION 14/02351/FELTPO: 9 Edgewood, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9RY – Tree Preservation Order application for T1 (silver Birch) to be removed
Permission refused under delegated powers on 1 October 2014.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.2 DECISION 14/03771/FUL: 43 Darras Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9PD – Increase height to gabled hipped roof to provide sufficient head room to stair and bedroom access. Existing rear lean-to to be upgraded with new PVC windows and doors
Permission granted under delegated powers on 6 February 2015.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.3 DECISION 14/04257/FUL: West Thorn Farm, West Thorn, Kirkley NE20 0AG – Single storey bedroom extension
Permission refused under delegated powers on 12 February 2015.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.4 DECISION 14/03711/FUL: Land South East of 33 Darras Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland – Erection of 5 bedroom family dwelling
Permission granted under delegated powers on 13 February 2015.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.5 DECISION 14/04202/FUL: 6 Tudor Court, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9PJ – Proposed two storey front extension and rear extension
Permission granted under delegated powers on 17 February 2015.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.6 DECISION 14/04294/FUL: 8 Linden Way, Darras Hall, Ponteland NE20 9DP – Construction of a two storey rear extension, single storey side extension, porch to front and raising of roof to create larger first floor with Juliet balcony and dormer window to front and rear. Relocation of highway access.
Permission granted under delegated powers on 19 February 2015.
The Committee had made no comment about this application.

2.7 DECISION 14/04270/MAST: Ponteland Telephone Exchange Meadowfield Ponteland Northumberland NE20 9SD – Installation of 1no. 12m high slimline streetworks style telecommunications pole WITH 1no. smart meter omni antenna (overall height 14.8m), ground based equipment cabinet and minor ancillary works.
The above application was approved by Northumberland County Council as local planning authority on 13th February 2015
It was not mandatory to consult the Committee on the above proposal.
