1.         PLANNING APPLICATIONS

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated.

The Committee made no comments on the 7 applications considered.

13/02008/FUL: 10 & 10A West Road, Ponteland, Newcastle upon Tyne NE20 9SU – Retrospective – Update existing shop front: Replace rotten windows; double doors and frames to be removed and replaced; fascia to be removed and rebuilt

A copy letter had been received from Ponteland Civic Society to Caroline Jones expressing concern that the application was for retrospective permission in a Conservation Area and that no documents were available on the NCC website.

1.1       13/01551/FUL: Land North West Of Kirkholme Tilery Cottages Kirkley Northumberland – Construction of a residential house on site of nursery for employee/manager to monitor business, premises and equipment

Information had been received from Northumberland County Council that the application had been withdrawn on 17 July 2013.

The Committee had made a comment stating that further information needed to be supplied before a proper response could be made.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 25 July 2013.

The Committee had made a comment that this is an overdevelopment of the site and would adversely impact on adjacent bungalows, with possible encroachment issues.
