MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

4 April 2017

  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

1.1       17/00655/FUL, 238 Middle Drive, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9LU, Demolition of existing dwelling and creation of 4 new dwellings.

 

The committee note the concerns of neighbours regarding the visitor parking bays and considers them to be inappropriate and feel there are alternative options within the site. They also note the concerns regarding the proximity of the proposed developments to the neighbouring property boundaries.

 

 

1.2 17/00829/OUT, Land to West of Callerton Lane and East of Willow Way Ponteland, Outline planning application with all matters reserved apart from access for erection of 178 dwellings, including 8 self build plots (Us Class C3), 44 extra care apartments (Use class C2), up to four ancillary ground floor units (of up to 500 sqm) in floorspace) comprising of Use Class A1/A2/A3/D1, car parking, public open space, landscaping and associated works.

 

This application has been deferred to the Town Council meeting on 12th April 2017.

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 9 applications considered.

2.1       DECISION 17/00301/FUL, 32 ErringtonRoad, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9LD, Proposed new roof to main house including dormer windows and proposed pitched roof over garage.

 

Permission granted under delegated powers on 22nd March 2017.

2.2       DECISION 17/00109/FUL, Smallburn House, Ponteland, NE20 0Ad. Demolition of existing stable block and erection of domestic garage and equine stable block.

Permission refused under delegated powers on 22nd March 2017.

2.4       DECISION 17/00280/VARYCO, 160 Runnymede Road, Darras Hall, NE20 9HRVariation of condition 3 (approved plans) from application 16/00804/FUL (Proposed 2 storey extension to form garages with bedroom over; portico and entrance canopy; enlarged driveway with entrance gates and piers and internal alterations)
