  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

1.1       17/01472/COU: The Vergers Cottage Ponteland NE20 9NR

 

Councillor Caisley declared an interest for this application and left the meeting. 8 members of the public attended.

 

COMMENT: The planning committee note concerns of the residents with Peel House, in particular the potential disruption within the vicinity. Shared access is causing concern on what the residents believe to be a private road with designated parking spaces. The building is in a conservation area and it would be advised for a planning officer to visit the site.

 

1.2       17/01391/FUL 68A Western Way, Ponteland NE20 9AP

 

Objection : The committee object to this proposal as the large windows directly overlook the neighbouring property and will have an  impact on their privacy.  A site visit has identified the shared driveway is a very narrow lane shared by three houses and will have to be kept clear at all times for fellow residents.  There is a concern if major building works are to be carried out, as there is insufficient turning space for large vehicles and there is also a possibility of damage to the surface of the lane which is maintained by the residents.

 

 

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 5 applications considered.

A letter has been received from Northumberland County Council to inform the council that prior approval is not required the amendments to applicaiton 17/00104/AGTRES East Barn site Stamfordham Road Throckley.

 

A tree preservation order was served by Northumberland County Council at the Land rear of 10-14 Windsor Place, Darras Hall.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 3rd May 2017.

2.2       DECISION 17/01004/FUL, 7 Hill Park, Darras Hall, NE20 9RX. Proposed front extension and erection of boundary wall/gate

Permission granted under delegated powers on 9th May 2017.

2.3       DECISION 17/00742/FUL, 121 Darras Road, Darras Hall NE20 9PQ. Construction of First Floor side Extension.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 8th May 2017.

The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.4       DECISION 17/01034/FUL, 14 Low Haugh Eland haugh NE20 9XN. Proposed conversion of exisiting garage into habitable space also small extension to rear of property with new roof over extension and garage.

2.5       DECISION 17/00896/FUL, Riverside Lodge, 104 Runnymede Road, Darras Hall NE20 9HH. Proposed extension to provide first floor to dwelling with additional accommodation

Permission granted under delegated powers on 9th May 2017.

The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

 

2.6       DECISION 17/01067/FUL, 76 Dunsgreen NE20 9EJ. Two storey rear extension, single storey front extension and single storey side extension

Permission granted under delegated powers on 10th May 2017.

The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

 

2.7       WITHDRAWN : 16/01964/FUL. Land South West of Westcotes, Milbourne, Northumberland. Erection of an agricultural shed to house a combined heat and power system and wood chip drying area in association with west cotes farm.

NCC had advised that the application had been withdrawn on 28th April 2017.

The Committee had made an objection.

 

2.8       WITHDRAWN : 16/04052/FUL, Land South East of Field House Prestwick.

Construction of 1No. Detached, two storey house with integral garage, garden and car parking.

NCC had advised that the application had been withdrawn on 3rd May 2017.

3.1       Councillors Varley was pleased to see some progress from Northumberland County Council regarding the derelict building at 51 North Road, Ponteland.
