MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

6th August 2019

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors: Mrs K Overbury and Councillor Mr T Edwards-Clay

 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

1.1       Application No: 19/02172/FUL, Location: Newton Cottage, Callerton Hall, High Callerton NE20 9TT, Proposal: Demolish rear extension and replace with new, adapt existing listed house and construction of a garden shed

Comment: The planning committee would like to comment that the internal proposal of this application could suggest that this building is to be split into two separate dwellings.  

 

1.2       Application No: 19/02172/LBC, Location: Newton Cottage, Callerton Hall, High Callerton NE20 9TT, Proposal: Demolish rear extension and replace with new, adapt existing listed house and construction of a garden shed.

Comment: The Planning Committee would like this passed to the relevant listed building officer for their review of the outside aspect of the proposal.

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 4 applications considered.

 

  1. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

 

2.1       DECISION:  19/00524/FUL, 7a Woodside, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9JA. Proposed demolition of existing bungalow and construction of two storey dwelling with new garage and access (drive).

Permission granted under delegated powers on 31st July 2019. The Committee had made a comment about this application.

 

2.2       DECISION:  19/01685/FUL, Ponteland Telephone exchange, Ponteland, NE20 9SD. Proposed provision of storage compound comprising heras fence (2m high) boundary with access gate. Compound to contain permanently housed 12ft container and various materials/vehicles and skips as referenced.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 1st August 2019. The Committee had made a comment about this application.

 

2.3       DECISION:  19/02011/FUL, Holmfield, Medburn, Ponteland, NE20 0JB. Proposed rear extension and associated internal works and alteration to windows to the main property.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 2nd August 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.4       DECISION:  19/00534/COU, South East Farm, Milbourne, Ponteland, NE20 0ED. Proposed change of use from existing farm house to bed and breakfast.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 23rd July 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.5       DECISION:  19/01741/FUL, 141 Edge Hill, Ponteland, NE20 9JT. Proposal to remodel existing property, including extension over garage, proposed porch, side extension and rear conservatory.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 25th July 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.6       DECISION:  19/01740/FUL, 85 Runnymede Road, Ponteland, NE20 9HJ. Proposed garage conversion with first floor extension above including roof light windows, 2 no new roof light windows to existing roof and 2 no new bay covered timber carport.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 26th July 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.7       WITHDRAWN: 17/00829/OUT, Land East of Willow Way, Callerton Lane, Ponteland.

NCC had advised that the application had been withdrawn on 29th July 2019.

The Committee had made an objection.

 

2.8       WITHDRAWN: 19/01280/OUT, Holly Lodge, The Avenue, Medburn, NE20 0JD.

NCC had advised that the application had been withdrawn on 22nd July 2019.

The Committee had made an objection.

 

  1. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

3.1       APPEAL APP/P2935/W/19/3232803 – NCC Ref 18/02699/FUL: land West of West Thorn, West Thorn, Kirkley.

Information had been received from NCC that the application, which had been refused planning permission (on 1st Feb 2019), was to go to appeal, to be decided on the basis of

a hearing. The Council was invited to make comments or modify/withdraw its previous response.

The Committee will review this at the next meeting.
