MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING

1st May 2019

Present:  Councillor Mr S Ahmed (in the Chair), Mrs C Caisley and Councillor Mr A Varley.

 

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors: Mrs S Johnson, Mrs K Woodrow, Mrs K Overbury and Councillor Mr Thomas Edwards-Clay

 

The date of this meeting was rescheduled from the 30th April 2019 to the 1st May 2019.

 

Councillor Mrs Caisley stated that she was stepping down as a member of the Planning Committee and it was noted that this would be her last meeting.

 

  1. PLANNING APPLICATIONS

 

A list of planning applications received since the previous Committee meeting had been circulated

 

  1. Application No: 19/01223/FUL, Location: Athol House, Callerton Lane, Ponteland NE20 9EG

Proposal: Demolition of existing building and construction of new build 3 storey elderly care building consisting of 34 no apartments together with associated landscaping and car parking.

Comment: The Planning Committee would like the neighbours comments noted and that they are happy with the design and the welcome improvement to this development.

 

The Committee made no comments about the other 6 applications considered.

 

  1. DECISIONS: APPLICATIONS AND APPEALS; WITHDRAWN APPLICATIONS

 

2.1       DECISION:  19/000686/FUL, 54 Western Way, Ponteland, NE20 9AP. Proposed alterations to front elevation with render to all walls, conversion of garage to games room, construction of new garage, two storey extension and proposed internal alterations.  

Permission granted under delegated powers on 24th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.2       DECISION:  19/00484/FUL, 125 Middle Drive, Ponteland, NE20 9DS. Proposed dormer roof extension and ground floor alterations.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 11th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.3       DECISION:  18/04424/FUL, 32 Runnymede Road, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9HG. Proposed erection of 2 storey side and single storey rear extension to elevations and provisions of replacement access as amended by email received 08/01/2019.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 16th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.4       DECISION:  18/04487/FUL, Plot 3 Former Nursery Site, Meadow Court, Ponteland, NE20. Proposed erection of new private dwelling house with separate garage (plot 3).

Permission granted under delegated powers on 16th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

 

2.5       DECISION:  19/00602/FUL, 31 Meadow Court, Darras Hall, Ponteland, NE20 9RB. Proposed loft conversion including 2no pitched roof dormer windows to front elevation and flat roof dormer to rear elevation.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 17th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.6       DECISION:  19/00272/FUL, South Carter Moor Farm, Kirkley Ponteland, NE20 0BH. Proposed gable extension, new roof structure and internal works.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 18th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.8       DECISION:  19/00727/FUL, 50 Darras Road, Ponteland, NE20 9PA. Proposed two storey rear extension and garage alterations.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 25th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.9       DECISION:  19/00835/FUL, 43 Collingwood Crescent, Ponteland, NE20 9DZ. Proposed front porch and kitchen extension to rear linking the house and garage.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 30th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

2.10     DECISION:  19/00642/FUL, 119 Darras Road, Ponteland, NE20 9PQ. Proposed construction of single storey rear extension with mon-pitched roof. Existing rear flat roof to be replaced to match proposed mono-pitched roof.

Permission granted under delegated powers on 29th April 2019. The Committee had made no comment about this application.

 

  1. ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

3.1       An email had been sent to the Planning Enforcement officer regarding luminated signs at S Finneran Electricians, 6 Bell Villas, Ponteland NE20 9BE. As planning permission had not been received for these luminated signs.

 

3.2       An email had been sent to the Planning Enforcement Officer regarding large boards and electrical cabling outside the old HSBC bank, 19 Main Street, Ponteland NE20 9NL. As planning permission had not been received for the boards or lighting.

 

3.3       The derelict house situation on 51 North Road, Ponteland had been passed to Ponteland’s new Environmental Enforcement officer and he has a meeting next week regarding this at County Hall. He is to give feedback after this meeting and the Planning Committee would like to this matter to be pursued.
